Sexual Harassment Lawsuit Against Zip Aviation

In a recently-filedĀ lawsuit, plaintiff Katharina Roelcke alleges, among other things, gender discrimination and sexual harassment against her employers Zip Aviation, Manhattan Helicopter Services, and its president/owner Itai Shoshani.

Plaintiff alleges, among other things, that in connection with her employment “she was nothing more than Defendant’s slave while he used work pay and citizenship as carrots at the end of a stick she would never get” and that she was required to “be at Defendant’s beck and call sexually”.

She seeks relief under, inter alia, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the New York State Human Rights Law, the New York City Human Rights Law, and section 8-903 of the NYC Administrative Code, which provides a cause of action in favor of someone “claiming to be injured by an individual who commits a crime of violence motivated by gender.”
